The Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) is responsible for promoting, organizing, coordinating and conducting research activities in the field of astrophysics in Italy, covering a wide range of astrophysical fields, including cosmology, astroparticle physics and high-energy astrophysics, as well as studies of the solar system, stars, and galaxies. The eight INAF institutes involved in ACME play a pivotal role in multimessenger research. In particular, INAF researchers have leading roles in a large number of National and International Observatories as LBT, TNG, ELT, CTA, EST, Rubin LSST, JWST, Euclid, Gaia, AGILE, HERMES, INTEGRAL, MAGIC, ASTRI, Swift, as well as in scientific projects funded by National or International programs (e.g. European H2020). They are also members of the Einstein Telescope, Swift, GRAWITA, ENGRAVE, MAGIC, CTA, ePessto+ and NUTS Collaborations. INAF offers detailed knowledge on observations, data analysis of electromagnetic counterparts (GRBs and kilonovae) of gravitational wave (GW) sources and valuable expertise on carrying out follow-up observational campaigns and data analysis in the optical, NIR, X-ray, gamma-ray and very high energy bands.
