The Centre for the Collective Use of Scientific Equipment “Laboratory of High Energy Physics and Astrophysics” (CCUSE LHEPA) of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is a scientific computing centre for high-energy astrophysics, aimed at supporting research in astroparticle physics (a computing astroparticle centre) by providing access to observational data from multi-mission surveys in the X-ray and gamma-ray ranges.
The Centre’s primary scientific objectives include:
- Facilitating access to databases of space- and ground-based observatories for researchers and students.
- Supporting the processing and interpretation of observational data on high-energy astrophysical objects.
- Advancing research in cosmic ray studies through data analysis and computational modeling.
- Assisting Ukrainian scientists in preparing proposals for observations using modern astronomical instruments.
Main technical characteristics
- Energy range: X-ray and gamma-ray (keV to TeV)
- Field of view: Multi-mission observational access
- Time resolution: Supports long- and short-term studies
- Computing power: Data processing & modeling for astroparticle physics
