Einstein Probe is a Chinese mission launched on 9th January 2024 into a low Earth orbit. It has a Wide field telescope (WXT) with a field of view of 3600 square degrees and spatial resolution FWHM ~5’.

It also has a follow up telescope (FXT) that operates in the 0.5-10 keV energy range in a narrow field of view (60 arcmin in diameter) and has a source localization error of 5-15 arcsec (90% c.l.).

The HEW of the PSF is 30’’ and is sensitive down to ~2 x 10⁻¹³ erg cm⁻² s⁻¹. In full frame it has 50 ms temporal resolution.
