Location: CNRS Centre Paul Langevin in Aussois, France
Dates: November 29 to December 4, 2026
The Neutrino Astronomy Bootcamp is organized by the Astrophysical Center for Multimessenger Activities in Europe (ACME), a European initiative aiming at sharing expertise between physicists working on different aspects of multimessenger astrophysics. The school is intended to introduce young scientists (Master’s and PhD students, as well as postdoctoral researchers) to the techniques currently used in high-energy neutrino astronomy, with a particular focus on experiments such as IceCube, ANTARES, and KM3NeT.
Topics will include detection techniques and R&D, event reconstruction, simulations, neutrino emission models, source selection strategies, and statistical analysis methods. In addition to the lecture program, participants will take part in hands-on sessions using public simulation and analysis software, as well as shorter lectures on complementary topics. Participants will also have the opportunity to present their research work in a short contribution.
The pre-registration deadline is on August 31, 2026. The attendance will be limited to 50 participants so a selection will be made at the end of the pre-registration period. The applicants will be notified of the results beginning of September.
