Observing proposals are invited for the European VLBI Network (EVN). The EVN is a Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) network that provides sub-milliarcsecond angular resolution and is operated by an international consortium of institutes. Proposals may include joint e-MERLIN and/or global VLBI observations with NRAO/GBO telescopes. Full capabilities are described on the EVN capabilities page.

The EVN facility is open to all astronomers, but PIs and co-Is affiliated with institutes in the Russian Federation or Belarus are currently restricted from access. Astronomers with limited or no VLBI experience are particularly encouraged to apply for observing time. Student proposals are favourably judged and encouraged.

Support with proposal preparation, scheduling, correlation, data reduction and analysis can be requested from the Joint Institute for VLBI ERIC (JIVE) by contacting ue.evij@troppusresu.

All regular proposals should be submitted through the Northstar submission tool. For more information, please consult the EVN webpage. The submission deadline is June 1, 2026.
